Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Whole salmon fillet, skin-on
  • 3 tablespoons Melted butter or olive oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • ¾ teaspoon Salt
  • to taste Ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and place the salmon fillet on top, skin side down.
  • Crimp the edges of the foil to create a boat shape to keep moisture in.
  • In a small bowl, combine melted butter and minced garlic, then brush half over the salmon.
  • In another bowl, mix brown sugar, Italian seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle evenly over the salmon and drizzle remaining garlic butter on top.
  • Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 15-22 minutes, checking for doneness according to your preference.
  • For a flakier texture, lean towards the longer baking time and baste the fish halfway through.
  • Let the salmon rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Baste for juiciness.
  • Pair with roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
