Ingredients

  • 1 pound Cooked and shredded chicken breasts
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • ½ cup Buffalo sauce Adds that signature spicy kick (Frank’s Red Hots is recommended).
  • 1 ½ cups Shredded cheddar cheese, divided

Garnishes and Dippers

  • 2 tablespoons Blue cheese dressing or Ranch For garnish.
  • Fritos scoops
  • Baguette slices
  • Carrot and celery sticks

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, buffalo sauce, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Use a large spatula to blend everything until you achieve a smooth and uniform mixture.
  • Spread the chicken mixture evenly in the bottom of a 1.5-quart baking dish. Make sure it's evenly distributed to ensure even baking and melting of the cheese.
  • Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the chicken mixture. This will create a deliciously gooey cheese layer as it bakes.
  • Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven, uncovered, for 15-20 minutes. Keep an eye on it until the cheese is melted and bubbly for the best experience.
  • Remove the dip from the oven and immediately drizzle it with your choice of blue cheese or ranch dressing. Serve warm with a variety of dippers like baguette slices, Fritos, and carrot or celery sticks. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use shredded rotisserie chicken to save time.
  • Monitor the baking time closely for best results.
  • Experiment with cheese types for added flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
