¼teaspoonBlackening seasoningOptional, adds an extra layer of flavor and spice.
3tablespoonButter
2teaspoonOlive oil
6clovesGarlic, minced
½cupHoney
3tablespoonWater
3tablespoonSoy sauce
1tablespoonSriracha sauce
2tablespoonLemon juice
Instructions
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with kosher salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and blackening seasoning if you use it. Set aside.
Adjust your oven rack to the middle position and preheat the broiler on high.
In a large, oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter with olive oil. Add minced garlic, water, soy sauce, sriracha, honey, and lemon juice. Cook for about 30 seconds until warmed and fragrant, without boiling.
Place salmon fillets in the skillet, skin side down if applicable. Cook for 3 minutes, basting with sauce throughout for even flavor.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated broiler. Broil for 5 to 6 minutes, basting once more with glaze until caramelized and done to your liking. Remove from heat and let rest briefly.
Notes
For optimal flavor, use fresh salmon.
Adjust the heat level by modifying the sriracha.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
